Hi ppl ... Who's using what? provider, I have got the naked dsl 2 with internode, 24000*1000... realtime is like 9000*600... 2 k from exchange. to game servers 48ms. Thinking of going back to dsl 1 without interleave... giving much the same connection speeds with a lot less money,, couple of issues to servers with ping and packet loss. with these speeds to the old servers 25ms. Thinking of changing provider (hassels churming over again) realisticly i don't think that it's going to make much of a difference. with westnet to servers 28 ms before they started using telstra.... live on the gold coast 2k from currumbin exchange where internode use the optus dslams. unstatisfied. with the interleave though internode cannot be removed, but with iinet i hear it can.. interested in what others are using and better still anyone in the area. Agro Now. throw the shit of the balcony...OPTIONS...

I have an internode naked adsl2 connection in qld, around 2km from the exchange. I seem to be getting quite a bit of packetloss and other connection related difficulties especially noticeable when playing quake live.
My sync speeds are perfectly normal (9000/600) and i was wondering whether i should perhaps go for ADSL1 as it will yield similar speeds while being slightly cheaper.

if iiNet is in your exchange and you can get plugged into their dslam then yeah - you'll be able to turn the interleaving off (gamer profile)
Other option is, Telstra ADSL2 - you can also turn the interleaving off...
Or as you said, go back to 1.5Mbit DSL.

well put goat. that is exactly how i would have written out my query, if i had patience, tolerence and social skills. seems i need to have more and more abilities and skills to deal with the bigger picture. and in that process ;i'm going 2 be short in some area's. Bigpond Wireless Broadband - 5GB Limit / Speeds: upto 5mbps - capped in 3 days. 90 dollars a month 64/64kbps for 3 weeks 4 days, 18.5k from exchange due to my fucked up father. Would love to have what you all have but can't. Server-wise - Maximum Perth 270, Sydney 180, Adelaide 145, Minimum - Perth 220, Sydney 130, Adelaide i suspect to be 100ms. - Overall happiness with bigpond is 0% - shittest ISP (wireless based) ever.

ha, Trust me, Iam working on it. Internode and many others have good wireless plans but all run off the Optus 3G tower, Witch iam not certain on if i can get where iam since mobile service sucks with Optus here. But using an external antenna like iam now for telstra i strongly think that i can get the Optus tower from here easy. - So with this information iam going to contact Internode/others about this and see if i can get anything going :). It wont help my ping, But at least i will have 40GB to play with instead of the 5 :)
