      tree, i can agree somewhat. but they are a pretty good indication of who is really good, or decent or an absolute noob. wch, rkn. those guys had hardly touched tdm. solus had only played twice and zenaku i think finished only 5 games? tdm has a certain dynamic that needs to be practiced. right? as for shags, what's done is done. like any good captain he should go down with his sinking ship.

        i know how you feel. i think it was mostly a matter of captains picking people they knew over people they didnt, and i'm guessing shags doesn't know you well or hasn't played with you enough to know if you're good or not. its a disadvantage of letting captains pick the teams. oh well, its only for fun, doesn't really matter.

        i was pointing out an obvious flaw (not everyone knows everyone else), not criticising or suggesting something else. letting captains choose teams is a good, simple solution, and its fine for this comp. any alternative would be more bother than its worth, and, frankly, not warranted.

Tree, I am able to play any of the comp games during the week. Monday to Thursday is fine with me.

I work the weekends, kinda why I havent been around quake for so long as all the competition games were on sundays.

But if we can schedule any of our games during Mon-Thurs count me in.

Regarding NZL vs VICTAS: can everyone make it Sunday afternoon? I'm thinking 2pm aus, 4pm nz. We've got the nomecup starting after that, and some CTF games later in the evening so it's probably our only chance.

    Been inactive the last week, contracted the influenza after arriving back from the snow.
    
    Initially doctor thought I had the swine flu, prescribed me Tamiflu. Went back and was told it is just
    
    a strong strain of the flu, nonetheless, I had all the symptons amplified by 10. Was in bed for 5 days
    
    with fever, migraine, shivers, sore throat, muscle pain, joint pain, nausea, and more I cant remember.
    
    Getting better, feeling ok today.

    If were still TDM'ing today, I'll idle in mirc see how I feel.

SA & WA: I noticed the game didn't get played. I'd rather not see any forfeits, so if you can get the match played before Round 4 - that would be good. If not, WA will get the forfeit win.

TO ALL TEAMS

Round 4 (Grand Final and Placing playoffs): Sunday - 26/07/2009

A date has been set for the final games of the state of origin. This means, any teams that still need to catch up on any games from previous rounds have a chance to do so. It also means that all teams must play the final round on Sunday the 26th of July!

noetix and shags have the ability to spawn private (passworded) servers, so there will not be an issue with server numbers.

The grand final (between #1 from group1 and #1 from group2) will be @ 8:00 PM (Sydney). We will also be trying to organise with idsoftware a special server that allows us to have the match shoutcasted.

VICTAS and SA both forfeit there Round 3 games due to no numbers.

The grand final has been set: NSW vs WA

3rd/4th: NZ vs QLD

5th/6th: VICTAS vs SA

Try and get the games played tonight.

On a side note, cheers for the teams who put in the effort to get all there games played. Sucks that VICTAS and SA lacked numbers, but its a lesson learnt and next time they will be a combined team.
