The quick facts:

Pro-Am?
Professionals & Ameteurs playing together.
We have quite a few pro's at Quake Live coming from Quake 3 & many new folks joining in on the fun for the first time, so this will be the first Pro-Am.
Schedule
The schedule heavily relies on the number of people that register for the event.
Once registrations are complete, there will be another post on the subject.
Signups will close on Wednesday, 15th April.
Tournament Format
I've chosen to run with Groups the first round to sort out seeding.
We roughly know whos who in the QL world already, but there are many unknowns & no accurate rankings that I can use.
That said, we'll do our best to populate the groups so that the top X players don't meet up & get kicked before the finals.
The group round matches will be played using the "Best of Three" format.
After groups are completed the top X players will be put into the Single Elimination finals. All games at this stage will be played "Best of Five".
Games & Opponents
It will be up to the players to organise a time to meet & play.
To make it easier on everyone, could all players please idle in IRC (#ausquake on GameSurge).
If you are unable to find your player, post on the forum. If the other player doesn't show up they will forfiet their games.
Maps
- Campgrounds Redux (qzdm6)
- Almost Lost (qztourney6)
- Lost World (qzdm13)
- Vertical Vengeance (qztourney4)
- Furious Heights (qztourney7)
Take this opportunity to discuss the map rotation.
Servers
Private servers haven't been introduced as of yet, and I can't see them releasing them anytime soon.
All matches will be played on public servers. You'll be given plenty of time to complete your matches so you should be able to find an empty server sometime.
Match Submissions
On completion of matches, results should be posted as comments on the main information post (due 16th/17th April).
All matches in Quake Live are recorded on the website. Posting a link to this information will neutralise disputes.
Demos
All players must record their games to demo. If a dispute occurs, you'll be required to upload your demo.
As this is a spectator sport, we'd like to see your games anyway! Please upload any demos on match completion.
I have setup an anonymous FTP (ftp: premiumgamer.com) where you can upload your demos (if you can't upload them yourselves).
Any demos I receive will be posted with results. Please make sure you label your files correctly so I know whats what.
