Map Selection Process

We are playing Best of Five. Higher Seed (wch) picks first, third & last. Lower Seed (zlr) picks second & fourth.

Once a player has 3 maps in his favour, the game is over.

    wench looks to be playing very well lately. I watched most of the 3 demos provided and the map control and fine rail shots make him a favorite for me. zlr is the NSW of this big tourney. He may be an under dog to some but he's bound to come back and take the game and the winnah! I do hope for NSW to win.. but my moneys on QLD!

    big thanks to the people from gamestah for what they've done so far. i'm looking forward to sunday :)

    i thought dave and mick did a good job in the shoutcasts. don't listen to the haters who just whinge all the time, you're doing a good thing for the QL community.

    also, less whinging and more appreciation from the community please, just be happy that QL is actually getting some attention. (i noticed a bit of negativity towards the shoutcasters in irc)

      Yeah i just watched zlr v zpnq shoutcast and i thought they did a pretty good job. What they made mistakes with will come good with time.

      I did enjoy the shoutcast and i look forward to the finals.

    Question: Why didn't python (Chacha) sign up for the tournament? Is he over beating everyone in aus 30-0??

    Or did he purposely exclude himself so that the hype for other potential duelers creates talk? So that the next duel tourney he enters he can smash them to pieces and nullify any doubts of who really is the best aus q3/ql dueler?

    Preferably an answer from the maestro himself!

    I haven't seen the demo's yet but I heard the last couple of games via Gamestah 'radio' and even without the vision it was exciting. Big congrats to zlr, and only slightly smaller congrats to wch. I only heard a bit of the post-game interview with wch, but big +1 for sportsmanship and being gracious in defeat.

    To use one of my favourite cliches, Quake Live was the winner on the night.

    And, last but not least, big props to noetix for organising the event; just another fine example of the commitment to the Australian Quake community. Keep it up neotix (intentional).
